The flexible sprinkler dropper
is designed to considerably simplify the installation of sprinkler systems above suspended ceilings and consists of a flexible metallic hose assembly with a special inlet nipple and a straight or 90 degree bend type reducing fitting plus a standard set of lightweight support components. The flexible hose is made of 304 stainless steel and braided, giving it a high tensile strength amd making it highly resistant to pressure and corrosion.
The flexible hose can be positioned as required to avoid obstructions and other services that may be encountered during installation. Using the flexible hose system will also minimise the need for subsequent adjustments that are normally associated with rigid pipe systems and will drastically reduce installation costs.
The hoses come in standard sizes from 700mm to 3100mm and are complete with the special inlet nipple and reducing fitting together with the support components. These consist of a 1400mm length of steel square hollow section (SHS), two brackets for securing the SHS to the ceiling support channels and a support bracket for rigidly clamping the reducing fitting to the SHS. THe brackets provide a convienient and quick means of accurately setting up the location of the sprinkler heads relative to the ceiling grid.
