The Reliable Model F1 Standard Response Horizontal Sidewall Sprinkler is intended for installation near the wall and ceiling. The special deflector provides a water spray discharge outward in a quarter-spherical pattern with most of the water directed away from the nearby wall with a small portion directed at the wall behind the sprinkler.
